Interscholastic Equestrian Association Team
The IEA team is coached by Emily Mayers. I strive to create a fun, supportive, cohesive team welcoming to riders of all levels and backgrounds. The IEA team is open to riders in grades 4-12.
Show Experience
IEA is a wonderful opportunity for riders who would like to horse show, but do not have their own horse. Blue Horizons has a variety of lesson horses and schoolmaster for all levels of riding. We have weekly practices & attend shows from September through February each season.
Team Sportsmanship
Equestrian competitions are usually an individual sport, however the IEA allows riders to compete together on a team, qualifying for regional points and the possibility to progress onto regionals, zones and national finals. Riding on a team mimics the sportsmanship common with other sports.
Resume Builder
Riding on a team is a great resume builder recognized by many top colleges & Universities. Joining an IEA team is fantastic experience for riders who wish to join a college team and compete in the Intercollege Horse Show Association (IHSA) or NCAA.
